 Mission Rocks

About 13 km North of St. Lucia is Mission Rocks. This rocky shore is famous for the Mission station Reverend O Filing, a Norwegian missionary, establish amongst the dunes above this beautiful beach area in the late 1870’s.
Today the beach at Mission Rocks is a excellent picnic spot with some relaxing leisure time spend amongst the tidal pools. Various marine mammals and reptiles can be observed frolicking amongst the white water.
All this is in the shadow of the majestical vegetated sand dune towering over the beaches of The Eastern Shores.
